It took me six months to get through this one chapter at a time as part of my reading the Ancient Stoics projects. Hard work!!! I would rather recommend the work of William B Irvine or Ryan Holiday to those that are just starting their own journey into Stoic Philosophy.

It is hard to criticise an author that has been dead for over 2000 years. I found an early giant on which our contemporary giants stand regarding the human condition. It is all there: Attempt to control only that you have control over; Accept things which you cannot control; Cultivate wisdom to know the difference. You just have to sift a lot to find it. Done now – completing it feels like an achievement.
