Coping A Survival Guide for People with Asperger Syndrome

Review: Coping: A Survival Guide for People with Asperger Syndrome

Author: Marc Segar

My wife since we have meet often suggested that I have symptoms of Asperger Syndrome.  The more I learn about it, the more I believe I have a place on the spectrum.  The book would have been useful for me about 25 years ago, as it is a book for concrete thinkers who live in an abstract world.  The language written is effective for people with symptoms of Aspergers.  It provides tips about the social skills and conventions in society that people on the spectrum struggle with to various degrees.  The struggles are very familiar with to me, and the way it is written is very close to the way I think.  I suspect our oldest son might share the same symptoms and lack of social grace that troubled me when I was young.  I will recommend this book to him when I sense that the time is right.
